Our President / CEO

Darrin Brimmer joined the United States Army in 1984 and served until 2010. Due to his innate leadership skills, Darrin rose through the ranks quickly. He fulfilled two active tours of duty in Operation Desert Storm and the Iraq War.  During his over 25 years in the Army,  Darrin was stationed in many places such as  Arizona, Colorado, New Jersey, San Diego, South Carolina, Texas and overseas in Germany and Korea.

Darrin held many positions, including: Platoon Sergeant, Military Training Instructor, and Army Recruiting Station Commander where he received the highest achievement award offered to recruiting commanders by the U. S. Army, the Glenn E. Morell Award, which consists of a bronze medallion and a ring.

Darrin retired from United States Army in December 2010 at the rank of Sergeant First Class, but he did not leave his life of service behind. He continues to serve his community by joining his local Disabled American Veterans’ s Chapter (DAV) where he has held numerous leadership positions over the years. Shortly after joining the DAV, Darrin volunteered to oversee their food bank, and has continued to oversee the distribution of food and has served countless veterans in need. The Chapter’s food bank has grown exponentially since Darrin took the reins.
